NV     Veuve Clicquot Brut     HALF     Reims     62-
This Champagne is a blend dominated by Pinot Noir, giving the wine wonderful structure, with one third Chardonnay for delicacy and finesse, and just a touch of Pinot Meunier. It is elegant and round, with some wonderful yeasty and light toast characteristics.

2005     Fess Parker Ashley Vineyard Chardonnay     Santa Rita     49-
Bright, clean taste with exotic flavors of tropical fruit, spice & peaches & apricot finish.

2004     Dutton Goldfield Chardonnay     Russian River     72-
A wonderfully lush wine from older vines in Green Valley, this wine combines a bounty of fruit flavors including citrus, pear and stone fruit with just a touch of sweet spice. The richness on the palate is perfectly balanced by the racy acidity.

2004     Roger Lassarat Pouilly Fuissé Clos de France     Côte Maconnais     63-
Palate staining and rich, this 50 year old vine cuvée mixes a pool of lemon butter with a sparkling dash of minerals and white pepper. Great grip and density -a fine example of an exemplary vintage!

2005     Michel Bouzereau et Fils     Meursault-Charmes 1er Cru     Côte D’ Or     146-
Simply a stunning breadth of aromatic expression with it’s nutty, beautifully delineated, refined and elegant green fruit aromas.  The medium full flavors are precise, intense, beautifully balanced and superbly long.  A terrific effort that is generous yet possesses outstanding flavor.

2006     Crocker & Starr Sauvignon Blanc     Napa     51-
Wonderful tropical aromas and flavors of white peach, mango & guava finishing with vibrant, refreshing lime acidity. A mouthwatering “margarita” Sauvignon with long lasting, luscious varietal characteristics.

2006     Henry Pelle Menetou-Salon Sauvignon Blanc     Loire Valley     39-

This Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc comes from a lesser known appellation located next to Sancerre.  It is a beautiful wine full of finesse and freshness. The nose is inviting, with a mixture of exotic fruits, citrus fruits, and fresh mint; the mouth is full, dense, pure and elegant with a silky texture.

2003     von Kesselstatt Scharzhofberger Riesling Spätlese     Mosel     47-
A lush, voluminous Riesling, with ripe apricot, lime and mineral lurking in the background. The structure is apparent from midpalate through finish.

2005     Silex d’ Orfeuilles Vouvray     Loire     43-

Muted nose of apple and pear with citrus, tart apple and sweet peach on the palate with hints of honey and bracing minerality. Lively acidity and a long and complex.

2003     Muga Rioja Reserva     HALF     Rioja     29-
70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 10% Mazuelo & Graciano, barrel fermented in new French & American oak.  A bouquet of raspberries, cherries, mineral, & tobacco leaves with abundant fruit, elegant, sweet tannin and hints of cedar and white chocolate.   

2003     Allegrini Amarone Classico     Italy     158-

This is a highly intense and thickly extracted wine from one of the area's most storied producers that boast blockbuster notes of black cherry, chewy fruit comfiture, milk chocolate and vanilla-oak.

2005     Isole e Olena Chianti Classico     Tuscany     43-
This highly respected producer has made a rich, elegant Chianti with excellent depth and length. It is firm & dense on the nose with masculine structure, great texture and spicy tannins.

2005     Le Clos du Caillou Côtes du Rhône     Vieilles Vignes     51-
Medium-bodied wine that is dark ruby in color. On the nose, reticent dark cherries. On the palate, classic kirsch, licorice, and light white pepper on the long finish. Very clean and bright in the mouth.

2005     Dashe Todd Brothers Old Vine Zinfandel     Alexander Valley     62-
Dark blackberry fruit, cassis, chocolate, coffee, quite spicy with a thick and velvety mouth feel.

2004     Santino “Fiddletown” Zinfandel     Amador County     42-
Sturdy and full of rich raspberries and blackberries, plums, and spice aromas. The mouth is flush with berry fruit that hook up with almonds, cinnamon and pepper.

2005     Valentin Bianchi Malbec     Argentina     38-
An intense red, purple color, has a luscious, intense fruit aroma, with hints of ripe plums, cherries and berries, soft and silky mouthfeel with a lush and long finish.

1996     Château Léoville-Poyferré 2mme Cru     St-Julien     185-
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 8% Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc give a deep and rich wine, whose typical characteristics of name are exaltées since 1994 by the work of the oenologist Michel Rolland.

2001     Château Montrose  2mme Cru     St-Éstephe     115-
Complex nose with dark fruit offset by tobacco, truffles & wood spice, it is full bodied with plenty of tannins with flavors of dark fruits, spice & licorice. The blend is Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot.

2001     Château Pichon Longueville     Pauillac     150-
It is subtly spiced, showing hints of cinnamon, liquorice, and cherry, all helping to accompany a very notable length in mouth.

2004     Château Lascombes 2mme Cru     Margaux     110-
53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, this wine’s perfumed nose of blackberries and licorice harmoniously combine with flavors of ripe fruit, smoke & oak to create an opulent indulgence.

2001     Clos Du Val Oak Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon     Stags leap     120-
Dark & dense, layered with aromas of blackberries, blueberries, current & subtle notes of cinnamon & pepper. Earthy flavors with a hint of spice & menthol.

2003     Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon     Alexander Valley     122-
An extra measure of fruit concentration makes this especially tasty. Has lots of delicious dark cherry and blackberry accented by assertive cinnamon and cedar notes. Smooth tannins make it velvety.

2004     Merryvale Starmont Cabernet Sauvignon     Napa     63-
Medium to full bodied with an elegant, mouthcoating texture. Blueberry, pine, and current on the nose with ripe berry, creamy oak, and spicy current. Beautiful balance and a nice finish.


2003     Stonestreet Merlot     Alexander Valley     35-
Dark, ruby-purple in color. Dense plum and cherry fruit flavors. Generous mid-palate. Layers of black fruit. Olive complexity, along with chocolate and coffee. The tannins are firm, smooth and round.

2003     Erba Mountainside Vineyards Merlot     Napa      71-
Dark and reminiscent of black cherry juice in the glass. The nose is laden with rich black fruits and smoke with delicate hints of oak. Rich on the palate with smooth tannins. Cola, spice, blackberry and a bit of smoky meat are carried by zesty acidity. Will improve with age. A superlative effort!

2005      Cambria Julia’s Vineyard Pinot Noir     Santa Maria     44-
Dark ripe Bing cherry, raspberry and strawberry flavors that open into an underlying earthiness. The smooth finish brings notes of cinnamon and vanilla.

2003     Domaine Serene Grace Vineyard Pinot Noir     Willamette     170-
Powerful nose of smoky black cherry, beet root, clove menthol & rosemary. The palate displays black cherry, anise, hints of smoked meat & sage on the long finish!

2005     Williams Selyem Pinot Noir     Russian River     137-
Vibrant, cherry & concentrated aromas; deep fruit & vitality. Firmness in structure & ends with  acidity. Edges show youth & its lengthy fruit bodes well for the future.

2006     Acacia Carneros Pinot Noir     Napa     53-
Deep, ripe aromas of plum, raspberry, rose petal, smoke & wet earth, it is sweet with flavors of plum, cherry and blackberry, and finishes long with a rich earthiness.

2003     Calera Reed Vineyard Pinot Noir     Mt. Harlan     90-
This wine’s herbal tones quickly evaporate, leaving a delicate raspberry flavor and a dark, smoky length. The finish is quite supple.


2003     Domaine Francois Lamarche Vosne-Romanee     Cote d’Or     78-

This wine shows a symphony of black and red fruit, smoked bacon and grilled meat.

2002     DRC Romanee St Vivant     Burgundy     750-
Mocha, toasted oak, & roasting spices are in the nose of this medium-bodied wine, showing impressive black cherry intermingled with cafe au lait as well as violets.
